Have you considered writing a book about the discovery and exploration of your favorite project cave? An article for your local newspaper on your grotto's conservation work? Do you have cave poetry or fiction you'd like to share before a live audience? Bring your ideas and manuscripts to a day of short workshops on writing about caves, directed by widely published cave authors Michael Ray Taylor and Jo Schaper.
The program includes special guest authors, live writing exercises, and readings from new books. Between scheduled talks, open reading slots give anyone the chance to share a story or poem with the group. The workshop is held in conjunction with the Arts and Letters Salon — join the Salon for the annual lunch at noon, or simply drop in and become part of the conversation. Subscribers to Illuminations are automatically part of the Salon. There will be a short excursion to Squire Boone Caverns for inspiration.
