NSS Convention 2026

Cueva Sin Fin
, Auditorium

Texas cavers were scouting for caves in Coahuila Mexico, south of Big Bend National Park, when they heard stories from locals of a cueva sin fin ('Cave without an End' in Spanish) that was full of bones. The second part at least was true โ€“ multiple human skeletons were found 10 m deep inside the cave. After that, a vertical shaft was encountered, which would require a return expedition. In June 2025, seven US cavers returned to the site and worked alongside Mexican cavers and government archeologists to research and document the human remains. The cavers also continued exploration and descended 103 m deep and reached the bottom of Cueva Sin Fin.
