DESCRIPTION:Fern Cave continues to grow and set new records as the longest
cave in Alabama and one of the greatest caves in the United States. This y
ear the survey has proved to be more difficult and tedious\, but new conne
ctions and discoveries continue to be made and plotted. As the map fills o
ut the complex nature of this cave continues to unfold. Historic routes in
the cave to well visited areas like Helictite Heaven are proving to repre
sent only a portion of the passages which lie therein. Come join us as we
highlight the fourth year of the Fern Cave Survey Project's exploration\,
 survey and newly drafted maps.
