ESRI's ArcGIS software can represent cave data through the context of geography, merging information from a variety of sources. This model combines traditional digital cave maps, waypoints and photographs from Adobe Illustrator, Caltopo and a typical smart phone, respectively. Cave maps are exported as DWG files and processed into layers in ArcGIS Pro. Waypoints are exported as KML files and processed into layers. Photographs are simply sorted by long file name associated with cave name. More data is brought in as a spreadsheet that holds attributes associated with cave name. Once assembled, the model can respond to user clicks and create pop-up boxes with cave information and links. Links can be used to trigger views of the original digital cave map and URL's rendered in a browser like Chrome.
