AI tools for selection of subjects, like people or animals, are becoming commonplace for making tone and color adjustments while editing photos, and are appearing at even entry-level prices, or on a phone. These and other object selections such as rock formations and water, or areas like back/foreground might be relevant to cave photography, while things like sky, foliage, clouds, or pets presumably less so. Results and potential conclusions will be presented after trying and testing a few different software packages in this regard. The focus is only on AI selection tools. Generative AI will not be discussed.
